Each semester, the NMSU Alumni Association recognizes graduating seniors from each academic college, plus a master’s and a doctoral student, to receive the Outstanding Graduate Award.

This is the Alumni Association’s highest honor for a student. Awardees are selected by the deans and a committee within their respective colleges or the Graduate School in recognition of their exceptional academic achievements, participation in activities that illustrate leadership skills, and extracurricular commitment to the university and the community through volunteerism.

The NMSU Alumni Association hosts the Outstanding Graduate Award Luncheon the Friday before each semester’s undergraduate commencement to present the award to each recipient in the presence of their family and friends. This fall's luncheon will be Friday, December 13th, from noon to 1:30 p.m
